How much money does this nation really owe, and who do we owe it to?

It may surprise some of you just who the United States owes money to. Some of the same people who this nation holds in contempt also holds massive amounts of U.S. debt. With the way the government is functioning there is almost no way to reverse this trend. The tea party and their Republican brethren went to Washington with a promise to trim the debt, but their first action was to extend the Bush era tax cuts, at the cost of this nation. They pledged to cut 100 billion from the national debt, how did they plan to go about this? They attack domestic spending to programs that the common citizen rely on. They fail to realize that things like this only makes society harder to deal with for those already hit hard by a prolonged recession. They fail to realize, they have to remove the privilege from the privileged. If they simply remove tax exemptions the deficit could be made up.
