Cory Booker: A Historic Opportunity
Cory Booker: A Historic Opportunity
This is wonderful! Education is more important than ever, and we had better start taking it serious before we find our nation in the rear-view

All I want to know is where were these people when George Bush was running this country into the dirt? Where were these people when Ronald Reagan was selling this country to the highest bidder? Why when President Obama entered office? Not a couple months after he entered office, but the day of. I mean they do not even refer to the President as the President...

Cincinnati City Council Passes Texting Ban - Cincinnati News Story - WLWT Cincinnati
This is a good attempt, but how are police supposed to enforce this law? It's impossible at best. And why is it legal for the police to ride around while looking at a full laptop? No one is above the law, but laws like these makes one wonder... As for the Indiana law, how do Indiana enforce that 18 crap? People don't all look alike!

Obama's Mideast Peace Talks
This is the most contentious problem facing the world today. If there ever is a world War III the Middle East is where it will start. This nation has no actual power over what takes place between Isreal and it's neighbors, but this nation does have power over the money flowing into Isreal and most of the money going into Gaza and the West bank. It has occured to me that this problem cannot be solved with the barrel of a gun. Hamas was Democratically elected, because of the abuse at the end of Isreali guns. We must put pressure on Isreal to halt all settlement construction, and we must put pressure on the palistinians to elect moderate Muslim leaders if the peace process is to grow from an embrionic stage into adulthood.
Rapper T.I. and Wife Arrested on Drug Charges
I would like to ask T.I. What is the problem? Did you not just get released in December? WTF!!! Not saying that T.I. is a hypocrtie but, after Larry King and Count Down to Lockdown I think the rest of the music world would disagree with me.

Anthony Weiner MAULS Republicans on 9/11 Health Bill
And they say building the Cadoba House community center is unsympathetic to the family's of the victims of 9/11. Well I say denying health care bennefits to the first responders of that tragic and dispicable act is just pathetic
Oil platform first responder speaks
This is what happens when big buisness sets policy. This is what happens when peoples greed is left to its own devices. The people living on the Gulf coast(especally New Orleans) has suffered so much. From Hurricane Katrina(Which they still have not recovered from) to the largest oil gusher in this nations history(At the hands of a foregin company) to this new oil rig explosion(which we still do not know full details). These company's are content with making billions at the expense of the people. This is just sicking, and the government and these cooperations should be ashamed of themselves. BP and The company who operated this rig were known violators of safty percautions. If you cannot follow rules, you should not be able to do buisness here, and big buisnees should not be setting policy.

Jackie Warlorski's tv ad
So Jackie Warlorski's new campaign ad touts her work with the poor in Romania, and that work is commendable. She also says she helped balance the budget, and that also would be commendable if that balance did not have to come at the expense of our childrens public education.
I invite Mrs. Warlorski to my blog to explain why the children of Indiana has to suffer for her to further her political portfolio. I would also like her to explain how she plans on bringing blue collar jobs back to this country, and how she expects to suppress the Washington culture of spending that's been in place since Ronald Reagan.

Constitution
Racism in this country goes back far beyond the constitution, but for conversation sake we'll start there. Racism started with the signing of that document. It was written by white men for white land owning males. Women, Blacks, Natives, or any other persons were included. Nor were they supposed to be, this country was meant to be only for white protestants. People who are now considered white (Greeks, Italians, Irish, and other Eastern and Southern Europeans) was not included. The best thing about the constitution is, it is a living document and can be amended with the times. But this living document set in motion the institution of race that continues to haunt this country till this day.
Race and Ethnic relations in this country
Most people thought with the election of Barack Obama that this nations racial issues could be solved with civility, but as these months ticked past race relations have become worse than in the 60s. I do not think this nation is ready for a black President. No President in recent history has been more closely watched in their first 100 days. If you pose the question to me, what has he done? My answer is a lot. Health Care Reform, saved the auto industry, passed legislation giving American Indian more power over their legal issues, financial reform, and a host of other things all the while being blocked by Republicans. Then we have this Tea Party movement, who claims the government is too big. I ask them what about two wars and tax cuts?
